Shopping at Chol HaMoed

I read that in Hol-aMoed you can only buy what is required for the coming days, other purchases can only be made if there is a significant discount (for example, a sale) that will not be available later. But if a person works and gets a week's vacation for the holidays, then among other things he would like to use it for shopping, for example, clothes. I found what I wanted, but if a discount is not declared in the store, then it turns out that you can’t buy? The same question applies to the counting period of the omer.

In a situation where vacation is given precisely on Chol HaMoed (intermediate "semi-holiday" days of Pesach and Sukkot) and there is no other free time, you can buy clothes and other things necessary for the house these days. But they should be used after the end of the holidays.

During the counting of the Omer, such acquisitions are generally permitted. At the same time, some people do not use the purchased items until the end of this period. They say about such a person - “tavo alav beraha” (he is worthy of the reward of the Higher world).
